Dear spectators,

The 21th European Film Days festival brings again a whole series of European movies that are worth to seeing but often don´t go into wider film distribution. Therefore I am delighted that we can share them with you – the loyal and demanding cinephiles. As you can see in the programme, a part of the festival is a section "To the Point" whose motto this year reads "Our Europe". The films selected for this section show interesting stories reflecting life in today's Europe, with all its joys and sorrows. In today's Europe that is slowly recovering from the economic crisis but still facing high unemployment rates. In this context, I would like to point out here that it is this year that we will have the opportunity to express our views on the future of the EU in the elections to the European Parliament that will take place on 23–24 May. I wish the festival every success. I wish you a pleasant, inspiring experience watching our movies and all the best in your decision in the European elections that will influence the future direction of the European Union.
