Dear friends,

The fact that the Days of European Film is taking place already for the 21st time is a testimony to the popularity it has gained among film makers from all around Europe. The audiences that have been awaiting impatiently the next batch of the best of recent European film production, will certainly not be disappointed this year. In the world of film, flooded with commercial movies without merits or values, it is often difficult to choose the high-quality production, as it rarely has sufficient funds to promote itself through advertising. We should thank the Days of European Film for giving these films and their authors a platform from which to address an audience who can appreciate their originality and the cultural diversity of the individual countries. The festival takes place once again under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. On its behalf, I wish the festival many satisfied viewers.
